Drew has been very busy lately. He got hit with a soccer ball in his game on Sunday and kept complaining that his wrist hurt. He did go back in the game, so I didn't think it could be hurting that badly. He kept complaining, so I took him to the Dr on Monday after school and they X-rayed it. Of course, it is broken. It is a "stable break" and so he just has to wear a splint to protect it if he falls. He is out of soccer for 5 weeks, which seems excessive to David, but apparently the bone that connects to your thumb gets a small amount of blood flow and takes a long time to heal. If he did fall on it again it could cause more damage.
He also gave a speech about positive attitude at school. His teacher said he "did an awesome job" and wrote "maybe a future in speaking". Who would have imagined that : ) He got to give his speech to the principal and assistant principal also and may get to give it at a faculty meeting. Anyone know how I can get him on the speaking circuit so we can retire early? ; )
